The following is a list of animal welfare organizations in Southern Arizona that were recipients of funding from H.E.A.R.T.S. during calendar year 2012.

Pawsitively Cats
Pawsitively Cats
: Pawsitively Cats is a 501(c)3, no-kill shelter for adoptable and special needs cats rescued in the Tucson area. Pawsitively Cats is Arizona's largest no-kill cat shelter (on December 27, 2011, Pawsitively Cats took over the management of animal care, adoptions and other functions of Casa de los Gatos).

Wee Care Animal Shelter: Wee Care Companion Animal Shelter is an nonprofit, 501(c)(3), corporation in Tucson founded on the belief that every companion animal has the right to a safe, warm, loving, and compassionate home environment and cared for by responsible, loving individuals who truly care for them. Wee Care rescues animals from Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) who would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of space, and provides shelter, food and care for them while actively seeking to get these animals adopted into loving homes.

Mostly Cockers and Poms: Mostly Cockers and Poms specializes in rescuing small dogs, fostering, training and providing medical care. The organization rescues dogs from Pima Animal Care and from elderly pet parents who can no longer live on their own.

H.E.A.R.T.S. has also helped individual pet parents who were unable to pay for their animals' veterinary bills. This allowed the pets to get healthy and stay in their current homes, rather than be surrendered to an already overburdened shelter system for care.
